Matte Lips

Matte Lip Lover

NARS Pure Matte Lipstick

My love of matte all started with M.A.C Heatherette Collection, to this day its still my fave. Long-lasting, a chic way to sport a bold color all day without the worry of it coming off during my face scoffing. I'm a huge fan of M.A.C Candy Yum Yum, but nothing can come between me and my RiRi Woo. After hearing a few friends raving about the NARS matte lipstick, I went out and bought a few to try.

If you haven't tried a matte lip and want to know what the rave is about. There is no purchase necessary. You've got a draw full of lip liners that you never use. So take that liner and instead of outlining your lip, shade the full area in. If you don't have any lip liners, take your favorite lipstick coat on your lips, give it a quick blot - reapply and repeat. Lay a sheet of tissue over lips and dust a little powder over the tissue. When you remove the layer, you have a fab matte look.

A Jamaica Wedding

Wedding by the River

My favorite cousin Renee, who still lives in Jamaica. Had a mid size wedding last year by a river. It was so beautiful. As island galz, we love nature. There was no way you could have ever gotten us two to have an indoor wedding. I shared the experience with her along with many other family members.

Her flower girls walked down the isle with her beloved puppy. She came down the isle with her mother, and her bridesmaids were bright colored dresses.

My Best Friend's Wedding

My Best Friend's Big Day

Unlike me, my best friend (who I also call me sister) had a big wedding in August of this year. Yes, our weddings were only a few months apart. One of the things that make us some close is us experiencing life together. Though we can be so different at times, we go through the same experiences in a different way. She has been living with her husband for 3 years before they got married, I didn't move in with my husband until we were married. She is ready for a baby, and I want to wait and enjoy marriage life. She had a big wedding and planned every detail all year long. I had a small wedding and picked out a wedding package with a hotel.

That's what make us good together, our difference in taste. Yet we are so happy and do so many  things together. We both started an online store, I sell jewel and she sells clothing. Check out her store The Dapper Gents.

My Wedding

        My Beautiful Jamaica Wedding

Earlier this year I decided to work for a tax firm, it was the most stressful job I've had in my life. I think worst than retail during holiday season. I had long hours and worked seven days a week. You would think after April everything would have came to an end, well it didn't until June. With my wedding in October, I had three and a half months to focus on my wedding, find a dress and my husband's ring. In 3 months, I made my dream wedding come true.

I did my dress fitting at David's Bridal 5 months before the wedding. It was the first dress I tried on and the one I fell in love with. My ideal style dress walking in was a mermaid style. But my mom had other ideas for me, if it wasn't for her, I would have never found this perfect dress. This Oleg Cassani has brought me tears of joy and excitement, I couldn't wait to get in it on my wedding day.

Even as a little girl, I never dreamed of a big wedding, or a fancy dress. I dreamed of a beach wedding with my toes in the sand, so that's what I did. I had my wedding in Jamaica, with family and friends. With a  lot of my family still in Jamaica and my closest friends and family that flew to Jamaica, it was the most beautiful day of my life, other than the day my son was born. It was a small ceremony on a gazebo with 23 closest friends and family, at Sunset Jamaica Grande Hotel. After the ceremony we had cake and champagne, then left the resort to have dinner at a roof top restaurant. We shared our vows,  and our first dance as husband and wife.
